Root intrusion at clay pipe joints
Why it happens here
Amber Grove East and Amber Grove West have mature trees planted decades ago. Their roots seek moisture and find the joints in clay pipe, which are not watertight. Once inside, roots grow into a dense mat that catches waste.
Our approach
We cut the roots with a hydro-jetter and then line the pipe with CIPP to seal the joints. If the pipe is too damaged, we replace the section with PVC and treat the soil with root killer.
